OfficeBullying.com

The latest list from the useful available domain names listed officebullies.com but I fancied officebullying.com instead and I’ve just this minute registered it.

Parked Domains In Google SERPS?

I’d sort of assumed that parked domains just won’t appear in the google serps (search engine results pages) but this saucy little number of mine is currently managing to (5th site). The page title is probably doing the trick and a direct match domain might be winning the odd brownie point (do you say brownie points (bonus points) in the USA?) The keyword optimisation needs a tweak by the looks and I was very limited in terms of available photos.

All I need now is for a food sauce producer to offer me some pound notes!

webunload.com

Came across a new site today called webunload - a site where you can unload your domains, websites, templates, etc for free. Not much there as it appears to be new so it’ll take a little while for stuff to come through I guess. A nice implementation of wordpress though!

Wirral Domains

I’m UK based and actually live and work in a place called Hoylake, Wirral and as a lad I lived just down the rode in Meols. With a population of over 300,000 I reckon that The Wirral offers enough scope for some localised domaining - the common sort of stuff like hotels, flowers, property, etc

I’ve registered a handful of Wirral domains this morning, making good use of a godaddy promo code giving me .coms for $6.99 (about £3.50). I’ve gone down the .com route as opposed to .co.uk - I’m yet to convince myself which is best out of the two for a UK domain. It’s a tricky call whether to go .com or ccTLD (.co.uk) for localised targetting - registering both would be the ideal but you just about double your reg fees that way.

I’ve parked some but have plans to develop Wirral Golf, Wirral Hotels and Wirral Restaurants

DomainBits Bloggers List

Over at Domain Bits you’ll find a comprehensive list of blogs published by domainers. Of course, you’ll find the obvious candidates but there are many others that you might not have stumbled upon. I’m listed there too!

via.com Sells

Further to my recent post, I understand that via.com sold at auction in sedo for $157,500, as reported by namebio.

Frank Schilling Bio

Well posted elsewhere, but in case it’s escaped your attention this is a quite informative Frank Schilling bio.

via.com

I have a passing interest in the domain via.com as it used to be owned by my ex-employers parent company over here in the UK. I’m not at all sure if they sold via.com and it is now being resold again soon after. No matter, the domain is currently up for auction on sedo and is yet to hit reserve.
